Working on both sides of the pond
by Ian Craig

Mr Ian Craig

The 8th Kenneth Finaly Memorial Lecture was delivered by Mr Ian Craig, Group Vice President and Managing Director, Peabody Energy Coal Australia Pty Ltd.

Prior to his current appointment, Ian had worked with Peabody as Group Executive for their Powder River Basin operations in the USA, and before that at both Moura, Qld, and at Warkworth Mine in the Hunter Valley.

In his lecture, Ian provided an overview of Peabody International operations, as well personal insights and experiences of mining in both countries from the perspective of management challenges, skills shortages, safety approaches, difference industry and workforce cultural issues as well as growth plans for Peabody.

A video of the lecture with the accompanying PowerPoint slideshow will be available in the near future.
