Agreement was recently reached between the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) in Indonesia and UNSW on the establishment of an international program involving the premier mining engineering education institutions in Indonesia and Australia.

The agreement allows for final year students in the mining program at Bandung to study at UNSW for two semesters as well as undertake a period of industrial training at a mine whilst in Australia during the summer vacation.

The program is a joint initiative between ITB and the Indonesian mining industry. The program will be co-ordinated at UNSW by the Study Abroad Office (UNSW-SA).
