The School recently hosted a visit by a delegation from the Indian Ministry of Mines.

The delegation was lead by Shri Ashok Kumar, Director - Indian Ministry of Mines.

Unfortunately Sis Ram Ola, the Minister of Mines, was also to attend but had to withdraw from the official delegation party and return to India.

After the welcoming address to UNSW by Prof Brendon Parker, Dean for Faculty of Engineering, Prof Bruce Hebblewhite gave a short presentation on the various undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the School and an outline of the five main research areas.

A discussion then followed on potential opportunities for future collaboration between the Government of India and UNSW.
