What Do Mining Engineers Get Paid?

The 2006 survey of final year students in the Mining Engineering program at UNSW found the median starting package was $99,713 with the cash component varying between $55k and $98k.

This is backed up by national surveys conducted by Graduate Careers Australia that has found Mining Engineering graduates are amongst the highest paid professionals.

The table compares the starting salaries for a range of professional courses over a three year period.
