The School recently hosted a group of eleven Executives on a six week study program from TATA Steel. The Executives are from the coal and iron ore mining operations of TATA Steel in India.

The Executives study program involved a mixture of short courses on mine planning, geology and mineral processing.

The final phase of the program involved a one-week field trip to familiarize themselves with the latest practices in operations management and planning. One group visited the coal mining operations in the Hunter Valley and another group traveled to the iron ore operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
