Graduation for 2002 final year students students

The graduation ceremony for students completing the BE in Mining Engineering program in 2002 was held on 2 May 2003.

The event was attended by 21 graduates together with their parents and friends.

The graduates returned for the ceremony from many places all round Australia where they are nowing working including three from the Pilbara in NW Australia, several from Queensland and New Zealand as well as a number with graduate positions in Sydney and its hinterland. Two graduates obtained positions in the civil construction industry - one as an project engineer on the Parramatta Rail Link project.

There was a 100% success rate this year with all graduates who were seeking a graduate position obtaining a placement by January this year. A similar take-up of graduates from the School is expected again this year.

Good luck to all our graduates in their future careers. Remember to keep in regular touch with staff in the School.
